How Tinubu, Fayemi Offered 15 APC Lawmakers N.8 Billion to impeach Fayose – Group

October 22, 2014 – Even after it failed to stop the swearing-in of Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Ayodele Fayose, we gathered that All Progressive Congress (APC) is working day and night to make sure that lawmakers in Ekiti State House of Assembly impeach the governor who was sworn in few days ago.

We gathered that those making the overtures include national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and defeated governor of the state Dr. Kayode Fayemi.

Making the allegation was Coordinator of Ekiti Democratic Coalition(EDC), Comrade Aderemi Olaleye. According to him, the lawmakers met with the National Leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and former Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State in Lagos on Tuesday where they were collectively offered them N800 million to impeach Fayose.

EDC made the allegation in a statement signed by its Coordinator, Comrade Aderemi Olaleye. He alleged that it was at the meeting that the lawmakers got the directive to impeach Fayose.

The EDC alleged that each of the lawmakers got N50 million, while the Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin, was given N100 million.
The EDC said in the statement: “The lawmakers will be hinging the impeachment on the dissolution of Local Councils Caretaker Committee.

“Apart from the Speaker, some of the lawmakers who attended the meeting were the Deputy Speaker, Adetunji Orisalade (Ido/Osi II); Majority Leader, Churchill Adedipe (Irepodun/Ifelodun I); Adetunji Odu ((Irepodun/Ifelodun I); and Ogunrinde Ojo-Olaseinde (Moba I).
“Tinubu instructed the assembly members to make sure that Ekiti State is made ungovernable for Governor Fayose,” he alleged.

In addition, we gathered that the national leader and Fayemi are also not happy about the earth-shaking revelation which Fayose has been making to discredit the APC.
