It’s Guardians of the Galaxy Again Leading the Pack in Box Office Sales

August 31, 2014 – Guardians of the Galaxy stood tall for the second time in two weeks, leading other films in box office sales even when sales dropped to $16.313 million from 3,462 film viewing centres where it was exhibited in the US.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles retained the second position for the second time in two weeks gleaning $11.750 million from 3,543 cinema outfits where it was exhibited in the US.

If I Stay, put together by Warner Brothers was third most patronized film during the week. The film returned N9.260 million to the producers after passing through 3,003 theatres in the US to retain that spot on the chart.

As Above/So Below, a new film just hitting the box office made it to number 4 on the chart after making N8.342 million from 2,640 film viewing centres in the US to occupy the forth position on the chart. As Above/So Below is a production of Universal Pictures.

Let’s Be Cops, which was number 4 last week was pushed to the 5th position when sales dropped to S8.2 million after passing through 3,010 film viewing centres in the US.

Other new films that came to the box office during the week include The November Man, Cantinflas, Ghostbusters, Life of Crime, Starred Up and The Notebook.
