August 30, 2014 – A Ukrainian cargo plane has crashed in Algeria few minutes after it took off killing seven people on board.
According to Algerie Presse Services (APS), the plane crashed three minutes after take-off from Tamanrasset Airport in Algeria, APS reported, adding that rescuers reached the crash site about 15 kilometers south of the airport but found no survivors.
It noted that the Antonov An-12 plane was carrying oil equipment from Glasgow, Scotland enroute Equatorial Guinea and had a stopover at Tamanrasset, APS reported.
The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
